Whenever shoppers add enough items to reach your threshold, Shopify applies the discount automatically—no extra steps needed.

The automatic discount will update in real-time to reflect new quantities. If they remove items below the discount threshold, the builder (and Shopify) will adjust or remove the discount accordingly.
No, each individual item retains its own SKU, inventory, and fulfillment settings. The Product Builder simply groups items in the cart to trigger quantity-based discounts. You don’t need a separate bundle SKU unless you specifically want to track it as a unique product.
Inventory is managed exactly like standard Shopify products. Since each product added to the bundle has its own SKU, Shopify decrements inventory for each item individually at checkout, ensuring accurate stock levels.
